Webcam Chat Sites and How FanCamTASTIC! is DIFFERENT!

Hello everyone, and thanks for visiting my little blog space!  I’ve created this as a way to tell you about my Cam Chat website and how we’ve tried to make it a different experience for our members.

To begin with, we created www.fancamtastic.com out of a desire to have a cam chat site that was FUN, FRIENDLY, and drama-free.  The first thing you may notice is the way the site is designed around a COMMUNITY script.  This was purposeful as a way for our members to tell everyone something about themselves, their interests, preferences and more as a way to meet others with similar interests and tastes.  By telling other members more about yourself you give everyone the opportunity to learn something about you that might interest them, or with whom you share common interests.

Secondly, there are NO forums on our site!  We’ve found that forums generally tend to create divides between those the agree with posts and those that do not.  The next thing you have are flame wars and drama.  We do not want that on our site, and chat rooms give you the interaction that a forum cannot anyway.

Fancamtastic chat is entirely a FLASH product, meaning you don’t need anything special to use it.  No proprietary plugins, no java, nothing other than Flash, which is already on over 90% of the PC’s on the market.  This gives us a number of advantages over java and irc type chat sites.  Cams are FAST, CRYSTAL CLEAR, and can be resized to any size you wish, even filling your entire chat screen.  Voice is CRYSTAL CLEAR too with some initial mic and sound settings.

Fancamtastic has virutally no rules or limits on what you can do or say in our chat rooms.  We only have ONE basic rule, and that is:  Respect our members.  You CAN mention any other site you want, including other chat sites you go to.  Feel free to compare our site to others, we want to be the BEST site out there, and the only way to achieve that is to make it BETTER by comparison.  So if there is something you feel another site offers that we don’t, or the way they operate that we do not, we need to hear about it.  Feel FREE to tell us what you think of our site and others!

While we are a young site, we are growing rapidly.  We know there will come a day when we have tens or hundreds of thousands of members, and we wanted to be PREPARED for that day.  We already HAVE the infrastucture in place for the huge growth we anticipate, and had it from day ONE.  Unlike other sites that have had to interrupt service every time they perform a major (or sometimes even MINOR) update to their site or infrastructure, we can do it ON THE FLY!  With the ability to cache our site in major cities on every continent, even as we grow, our site will remain FAST, RELIABLE, and NEAR you.  You will connect to a server closest to your location for the FASTEST connection speeds to us.
